BucksMTB/Beeline Bicycles Power Smurf Tribute Ride
We were absolutely blessed with a stunning autumn day in the Chiltern Hills from beginning to end, and as always we started with a slog up from Watlington car park up to the Ridgeway to the first climb to Cockpole Green. After crossing the road we hit the first decent which is quite rough to begin with but as long as you pedal you can keep the speed going till the end and have really good fun.
BucksMTB Golden Ball Run³ (Jubilee) Ride July 2012
Thankfully the trails were dry(ish) and the sun was shining for take two of the Golden Ball Run³ - unfortunately we had to cancel this ride originally back in June due to the horrendous trail conditions and bad weather, so it was nice to have some luck on our side for this one.
BucksMTB Club Member XC Ride Cannock Chase January 2012
Our first members only ride of the year started on a cold but brilliantly sunny morning up at Cannock Chase nr Birmingham. We had a good turnout with a large proportion of the club making the journey North to stretch their legs and start the new year with a ride!
BucksMTB Club Member XC Ride Cannock Chase
Sunday 23rd January was the Bucks MTB Monthly Club ride to the Forest of Dean or FoD if you’re feeling lazy (I’ll be calling it FoD from now on). After a bit of a battle for some to find parking spaces due to FoD being extra busy with the 661 Down Hill race (more on that later), we all met at the obligatory cafe to meet up and say Hi, warm ourselves up with Tea and Bacon sarnies. The turnout was good with the usual regulars, some new faces, and I am really happy to say a good number of female riders (almost half the group!) with riders varying from beginners to seasoned XC riders.
BucksMTB XC Night Ride #1 November 2011
A total of four riders joined BucksMTB staff members Chris and I for the first of BucksMTB's winter night rides. Armed with what seemed to be every light they could find (or borrow) and in some cases attached in true 'Blue Peter' style using Zip ties and tape we headed out into the trails around Coombe hill.
