BucksMTB are proud to be affiliated to the following organisations:

CyclingUK (CTC)

CyclingUK is the new name for The CTC (Cyclists' Touring Club), the National Cycling Charity. CyclingUK has championed the cause of cycling for well over a century and also by promoting all forms of cycling, protecting the interests of existing and would-be cyclists, and helped inspire people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities to discover the joys of cycling.

As an independent, democratic and expert organisation, the CTC ctivities reflect the commitment to their members, volunteers and partners to make cycling mainstream, making a lasting difference to the lives of individuals and communities.

The CTC is our governing body and BucksMTB is a fully affiliated CTC mountain bike club.

You can find out more about the CTC on their website.

BikeClub

Bike Club is a new initiative that aims to use cycling as means to engage with children and young people and challenge them to try something new. Young people will have the opportunity to have their activities and achievements recognised through the Youth Achievement Awards.

Bike Club offers something to children outside the school curriculum. Youth clubs, extended services and youth groups are all able to use cycling as a great way to broaden the horizons of children and young people between the ages of 10 and 20.

We have worked alongside BikeClub since 2011.

You can find out more about BikeClub on their website.

Cycle Chilterns

The Cycle Chilterns project, also known as the Chilterns Sustainable Gateways Project, is funded by the Department for Transport’s Local Sustainable Transport Fund. In 2012 the project received a grant of £868,000 for a three year project to increase car-free tourist travel from gateway towns in the Chilterns, linking to the Chilterns Cycleway.

The CTC are the lead partner for the project along with Wokingham Borough Council and the Chilterns Conservation Board. The board aims to encourage more visitors to travel to the Chilterns by rail and to increase cycling within the Chilterns as an alternative to the car.

The Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty includes parts of the Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire landscapes. The project is focusing on three main gateways to the Chilterns AONB.

We have worked alongside the Cycle Chilterns project since 2013.

You can find out more about the Cycle Chilterns project on their website.
