From here we took the bridleway over to Hastoe. We had only gone a short way when we met coming in the opposite direction not one, or two but about twenty MTBer’s coming the other way. We of course had to stop and let them pass. Now which club are they from?

We then continued through the (almost dry) woods to Hastoe and then the fast descent down to Kiln Road. We then looped back round to Hastoe to take the extremely steep and fast descent down to Duckmore Lane. We followed the road round and then the bridleway through the woods to use Bottom Road to make the climb back up to top of the woods,

By now it was getting dark in the woods as the sun started to set. On came the bike lights to create a pool of light around us as we continued along the Ridgeway and then into the long and fast descent back down and into Wendover . We finished the ride just as is was getting dark. A few of us stayed for a post ride pub drink, sitting outside even though it was getting a little bit nippy.
