Event Information:

The next BMTB Open XC Group Ride is to be held at Swinley Forest near Bracknell. This is a very popular location for our Group Ride Events.

This event is open for Cross Country (XC) riders of all levels of ability and is open to Club members and non Club visiting riders. Non club members can attend as a visitor rider for up to two rides before having to join as a club member, you can find out more here.

The Group Ride will be a led route by our BMTB staff riders and will be held on local Swinley Forest singletrack starting and ending at the Lookout Discovery Centre at Swinley Forest.

This event is free of charge.

The ride will be starting promptly at 10:00am so please be at the Swinley main car park in good time to get kitted up (especially if arriving by car) to avoid delays.

The meeting point for the ride is outside the main entrance of the Lookout Discovery Centre.

Route information for the day:

The day will be split into two halves. You can expect the morning to be around 10-15miles before heading back to the Lookout for tea and cake. An optional extra 5-10mile loop will be held as well after the tea and cake stop.

The whole route will be remaining inside of the Swinley Forest area making the most of the endless singletrack Swinley has to offer.

Unless you hold an annual ride permit for Swinley you will need to purchase a days ride permit for £3.00 which are available from the main reception at the Lookout Discovery Centre.

Car parking is free at the Swinley Forest Lookout Discovery Centre. It is a busy car park so we recommend you do not leave valuables in your cars.
